Forklift Tires
When it comes to types of installation, there are two kinds regarding forklift tires: standard and press on. Usually, press on tires are utilized on electric forklifts and those models used indoors such as warehouses. The press on tires may be used also in light industrial operation as well.

Standard tires are mostly utilized on forklifts which operate in outdoor settings or where rough or uneven surfaces require more traction and tougher tires.

There are a lot of various kinds of forklift tires just as there are many different types of forklifts. The most commonly utilized tires are polyurethane, pneumatic and solid. The type of tires are dictated by where and what the forklift is utilized for. It is essential to get the right kind of tires for the task and making sure that the correct choice will have a huge effect on both performance and safety.

It is suitable to use pneumatic tires on outdoor forklifts that function in an all-terrain atmosphere like on construction sites. These are made of durable rubber and then filled with air, similar to a truck or tractor tire. Pneumatic tires create an air cushion between the forklift and the terrain. This design considerably lessens the wear and tear on the machinery and creates a really comfortable ride for the operator. The tire's thick, deep treads give the necessary traction required for use on rough and uneven surfaces.

For light industrial applications, both outdoors and indoors, solid tires are best. They are made out of tough, constructed solid rubber. This helps them to stay safer from blowouts, popping like pneumatic tires or damage because of puncture wounds. Because these tires are not filled with air, they are unable to provide the cushion effect. This fact makes them not suitable for use on rough terrain. Some solid tires are made with holes in the sidewalls to provide a somewhat softer ride. The only problem is that this kind of construction makes the forklift's load carrying capacity less.

The polyurethane forklift tires would normally outlast both of the rubber tire designs but are designed for indoor warehouse applications only. The load capacity of polyurethane is much higher than that of a rubber tire. These tires work great with well with electric forklifts due to the additional weight of the equipment's batteries. Due to the tire's lower rolling resistance, one more advantage of this particular type of tire is the longer battery life.
